Synopsis
In the dim light of his room, a man in a simple vest plays his guitar, finding solace in each note. But reality soon sets in: his love for music won't pay the bills. Torn between the freedom of his art and the pressures of survival, he keeps walking away from his guitar, only to be pulled back in again. This cycle of passion versus necessity reflects the universal battle between money and happiness.
Director's Statement
As a filmmaker in Pakistan, where the film industry faces severe financial constraints and opportunities for success are often limited, this story resonates deeply with my own journey. Much like the protagonist, I find myself at the crossroads of passion and practicality, where my love for cinema constantly faces the challenges of a society that doesn't yet value it as a viable profession. This music video is not just about a man and his guitar—it's a reflection of the struggle many of us face, where the pursuit of art is often sidelined for more 'practical' careers. In this work, I aim to explore the poignant tension between creating art and surviving in a world that often doesn't support it. It’s a universal story of sacrifice, resilience, and the endless fight for fulfillment in the face of harsh realities.
